The UWA Science Library is an extension to the existing Biological Science Library building on the southern end of the Crawley campus. The new extension provides close to 5000 square metres of additional space split over four storeys. A complete refurbishment of the existing building was also undertaken.
The Science Library combines services and collections from the Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Geology, Maps and Biological Sciences departments.
The library also features over 200 computers, 300 working spaces with easy access to power and data for laptops, 13 soundproof group study rooms, an access grid classroom allowing classes to be shared in remote sites and overseas via high speed networks, a café area on the ground floor and an expansive foyer area designed to accommodate reception and exhibitions.
