The Cape Naturaliste College remained fully operational during the construction of their new facilities which included a new Year 7 block, new multi sports court, refurbishment of existing multi sports courts, additional 19 car parking bays and associated sealed roads. The college staff and students remained flexible and assisted BGC with completing the works efficiently. Temporary fenced construction zones, modified student access points and pick-up areas, disruptive or noisy works were all taken in their stride with youthful curiosity and respect.
The new Year 7 block includes five new learning areas, an activity area, male and female toilets, universal access ablution, store rooms, a covered outdoor activity area and generous verandahs. The building was constructed of structural steel structure, double brick, metal roof cover with a combination if drywall and gyprock with glazing infill.
